KS2 Christmas Trip - Scrooge

As part of our Christmas celebrations we have arranged to take KS2 children to Derby Theatre to see their Christmas production of Scrooge.

As with previous Derby Theatre Christmas productions, a talented team of actor-musicians create a charming and captivating tale for all, with original music, stunning set designs and vibrant costumes.

The trip will take place on Wednesday 4th December. Children will leave school after registration at 9:00am and will return over lunchtime. Please indicate on ParentPay if your child will require a school lunch or will be bringing a packed lunch.

We politely request a voluntary contribution of £16.50 this will pay for the cost of the transport, your child’s ticket and an interval ice-cream. Please log on to your ParentPay account to provide your consent for the trip and pay your contribution by Friday 22nd November 2019.

If the voluntary contributions are not paid, we have to take the shortfall of payments from our school budget, which would affect any decisions on future trips we organise. If you have any problems paying this sum, please do not hesitate to contact me as we may be able to find a suitable solution.

This year the theme for Children in Need is “Let’s Get Together “. We will be holding a cake sale in the morning. Children will have the opportunity to enjoy their cakes together at our ‘Pop Up’ Smalley cafè in the hall at break time.

All contributions of cakes are welcome, although we ask that they are nut free please. Children can bring these into their class teachers on the morning of Friday 15th November. Each child will be able to purchase one cake and a drink, with a suggested donation of £1. Any leftover cakes will be sold on the playground after school.

Children will also have the opportunity to wear Children in Need accessories, alongside their regular uniform.

Thank you for your support.
