Welcome to Richardson Endowed Primary School

Another Week in Class 3...

A very busy but fun week this week!

This week, the children have been working hard with their column method for addition and subtraction. We have also had some quite tricky 'quiz style' questions around all our maths learning. What has been great to see is how hard the children are trying, giving 100% effort to all their learning...keep it up Class 3!

In English, we have been exploring our new text 'The Creature in the Cave', looking at what we need to create great descriptions. They have produced some fantastic work around 'powerful adjectives'. I can tell we are going to have some more fabulous work to add to our 'Book of Hopes' display...it is already so full of the children's excellent work!

The children have particularly enjoyed ART this week, creating some 'Tree of Hope' pictures using 'Kandinsky Concentric Circles' and they look gorgeous! The children have put so much effort into them, using blending skills with oil pastels and have really thought about their colour choices to express colours of 'hope'. We also went on a 'tree hunt' around school to examine the different shapes of trees, how the branches form and change direction which you can see they have really tried to include in their own tree designs. All of them have been displayed across school and are already spreading 'hope and joy' around the classroom and school.

Another fabulous week had in Class 3! You are all doing so incredibly well, please keep it up :) Here are some pictures just to show how hard Class 3 have been working... IMG_4727
