Year 6 - Voices in the Park

In Year 6 we have been studying a very interesting book called 'Voices in the Park' as we felt it linked very closely to our theme, 'Tree of Hope'.

Parks became a sanctuary to many during lockdown and the hope and freedom it gave to people was so important.

The story of the second voice in particular mirrors how many felt, trapped inside their homes, but felt so much happier after taking a walk in their local park.

We have been working on our draft book reviews today and will of course share some of the final results when they have been completed. Our focus, when studying the book, amongst other things, was inference and hunting for clues to tell us more about the story and the characters.
