Class 6 - Home Learning - Thursday 9th July
Good Morning Class 6,
Happy Thursday everyone!
I hope you're enjoying our theme for the week - Celebrations! 🎉🎈🎆
What’s the Same and what is Different? - Today select a holiday/festival of your choice and research how different countries around the world celebrate this event. You could compare whether it is celebrated at the same time, the outfits people wear, the food eaten, etc. You could make a video, poster or report of the things you have discovered.
As always, have fun and don't forget to share your work with us!
This week’s learning project focuses on the qualities that make you unique and special. It will give you the opportunity to reflect on what you like, dislike and excel in.
Don't forget the new online learning resource, ‘Be Ready to Be Remarkable.’ It is a resource to help prepare Year 6 pupils for secondary school, created in partnership by BeReady and Academies Enterprise Trust. It consists of three online content modules, designed to guide Year 6 pupils on their journey to secondary school.
Head: What is different?
Heart: What am I worried about?
In the bag: What do I need to remember?
We are encouraging all parents to use the package the BBC is providing through the Bitesize website. Links to other effective resources will be posted, such as the Oak National Academy. Please do not feel you have to do everything, we want to equip not overload.
Maths: Angles in polygons
English: Junior Shakespeare: Twelfth Night
Wider Curriculum: How and why singing makes us feel good
