Class 6 - Home Learning - Thursday 16th July
Good Morning Class 6,
Happy Thursday everyone! 😊👍
Valuing Your Achievements 🏆
We continue with our learning project focusing on your successes throughout your time at Richardson Endowed, giving you the opportunity to reflect on what you have enjoyed and achieved throughout your time in primary school.
Not only is it important for you to value your past achievements, it is also important for you to plan to achieve new goals. Why not create a ‘bucket list’ of things you wish to achieve in your first year of secondary school. This could include points such as making new friends, taking the bus to school by yourself etc. Once you have completed this, create a bucket list of things you hope to achieve before secondary school begins. This could include points such as learning to tie a tie, completing a Summer Reading Challenge, baking a cake and more!
If you haven't already had a look, there is also the online learning resource, ‘Be Ready to Be Remarkable.’ It is a resource to help prepare Year 6 pupils for secondary school, created in partnership by BeReady and Academies Enterprise Trust. It consists of three online content modules, designed to guide Year 6 pupils on their journey to secondary school.
Head: What is different?
Heart: What am I worried about?
In the bag: What do I need to remember?
We are encouraging all parents to use the package the BBC is providing through the Bitesize website. Links to other effective resources will be posted, such as the Oak National Academy. Please do not feel you have to do everything, we want to equip not overload.
Maths: Calculating the mean
English: Writing a legend
Wider Curriculum: Alice's Adventures in Wonderland - The Mad Hatter's Tea Party
