Class 2 Home Learning - Thursday 9th July
Good Morning Class 2!
We hope you're enjoying our Celebrations theme this week!
Today, why not try the dance activity from the project below! Gather everyone around the computer and listen to and sing along with the song, 'Celebration'. This is one of our all time favourites! As you sing, can you add actions to the dance as well? Try performing it for your family and have a concert, and do record your performance as we'd love to see it too!
If that's got you in the party spirit, why not try another of the creative activities from the project and become a party planner! You could plan a party for a person of your choice and write a guest list, create invitations and make a list of everything you need from food to banners, balloons and party poppers! You could choose songs to play and write a shopping list for the buffet. Don't forget our invitations too ;-) You could invite just those who are able to attend during lockdown or plan for the party-of-all-parties to celebrate the end of lockdown which will hopefully be something to look forward to!
Please feel free to use these resources to help you with your party preparations:
There are lots of other activities linked to celebrations in our project so please click below for more ideas and do please let us know how you get on!
We are encouraging all parents to use the package the BBC is providing through the Bitesize website. Links to other effective resources will be posted, such as the Oak National Academy. Please do not feel you have to do everything, we want to help, not overload.
Maths: Time: quarter to and past
The BBC also created a series of programmes which are still available to watch on iPlayer called Celebrity Supply Teacher. There are twenty episodes altogether and we enjoyed watching them all! If you haven't seen them yet, or missed an episode, head to iPlayer as they really are educational and fun too!
For those struggling with internet or computer access, the BBC is also providing daily lessons through the red button on your TV remote and iPlayer.
Oak National Academy
Today, The Oak National Academy is looking at how to map a recount in English, to apply knowledge of the 2 times table in Maths and how and why are cities and villages different to live in in Geography in the wider curriculum.
Please continue to share your work, as we are looking at it and looking forward to seeing it.
If you have any questions or need any support with learning at home please contact our new class specific email at:
We dearly love seeing what you've been doing as we miss seeing you all in person so it's the next best thing!
Enjoy your learning!😊🌈
Love from Mrs Macdonald, Mrs Reckless and Mrs Hird xxx
