Class 2 Home Learning - Friday 10th July

Happy Friday Class 2!

How are you all today? We hope you're feeling 'On Top of the World'!

Thank you so much as always to Abigail for Yellow Bubble, and Class 2's, song of the week. What a super uplifting one to start this Friday :)

Today, we're focussing on celebrations again in our learning!

We'd love you to have a go at the Maths activity from the project below. On a calendar, go through and write down when different family members' birthdays are or when special events are happening. Which month/months has the most/least birthdays and events? You could make a bar chart or pictogram to show how many birthdays are in each of the months. Please feel free to use the PowerPoint and resources below to help you record all of your family's birthdays and create your charts. Have fun and we'd LOVE to see your work so please do email to share it with us!

Bite Size

We are encouraging all parents to use the package the BBC is providing through the Bitesize website. Links to other effective resources will be posted, such as the Oak National Academy. Please do not feel you have to do everything, we want to help, not overload.

Maths: Challenges for Year 2

English: Book club: Pippi Longstocking by Astrid Lindgren

Music: Explore music and the seasons with Vivaldi

The BBC also created a series of programmes which are still available to watch on iPlayer called Celebrity Supply Teacher. There are twenty episodes altogether and we enjoyed watching them all! If you haven't seen them yet, or missed an episode, head to iPlayer as they really are educational and fun too!

For those struggling with internet or computer access, the BBC is also providing daily lessons through the red button on your TV remote and iPlayer.

Oak National Academy

Today, The Oak National Academy is looking at how to write a recount in English, to create bar models for multiplication and division in Maths and explore the technique of blending in Art in the wider curriculum.
