Class 2 Home Learning - Friday 26th June

Happy Friday Class 2!

We hope you've had a wonderful week and enjoyed the glorious sunshine :)

We have another beautiful song to share with you again this week. Here's our song of the week from the super talented and very kind Abigail:

To link with our transport theme, Yellow Bubble created their own marble runs this week and investigated speed! Super engineering Yellow Bubble and it looks super fun too!

Yellow Bubble created balloon art yesterday also! It looks stunning! Why don't you have a go too?

Bite Size

We are encouraging all parents to use the package the BBC is providing through the Bitesize website. Links to other effective resources will be posted, such as the Oak National Academy. Please do not feel you have to do everything, we want to help, not overload.

Maths: Challenge of the week

English: Ella Bella Ballerina and A Midsummer Night’s Dream by James Mayhew

French: Food and drink

The BBC has also begun super programmes that air on CBBC each day at 9.25 and on iPlayer called Celebrity Supply Teacher. Today's episode is presented by former politician and Strictly star, Ed Balls, and takes a unique history class as he transforms himself into Alfred the Great and Elizabeth I to see who will be crowned mightiest of monarchs. We highly recommend!

For those struggling with internet or computer access, the BBC is also providing daily lessons through the red button on your TV remote and iPlayer.

Oak National Academy

Today, The Oak National Academy is looking at how to write a character description in English, consolidation and application activities in Maths, and repeating patterns in Art in the wider curriculum.

Please do keep sending us pictures of your learning and of your work as we dearly love to see what you're up to. We miss looking at all you do in person so it's the next best thing!

Enjoy your learning!😊🌈

Love from Mrs Macdonald, Mrs Reckless and Mrs Hird xxx

Hi Mrs Ufton - thank you for your kind comments. We used florist cellophane but you could use sticky back plastic or a laminate pouch - we used Pritt stick to stick the tissue onto the cellophane. Kindest regards Mrs Reckless

Your balloons look great, Yellow Bubble! What did you collage the tissue paper on to?
