Welcome to Richardson Endowed Primary School

The National Stone Centre

Class 3 had the fantastic opportunity to visit the National Stone Centre to support their 'Rocks' Topic. They had a brilliant time and learnt lots about the properties of rocks, and were fascinated to discover how different rocks are formed.

Panning for gems was great fun, although harder than it looks! The fossil trail was very interesting too, who would have thought there were so many fossils around to see?

The Class were then able to create their very own fossil! What a fantastic day.

I really enjoyed the trip to the Stone Centre and gem panning was my favourite!
