Charity Clay Pigeon Shoot

It was a pleasure last Sunday to attend a Charity Clay Pigeon Shoot held at Nottingham Gun Club by the Del Rosso Family.

The event raised an incredible £2007 and it was decided that the money would be donated to school for playground equipment after the school community raised so much money for Team Eddy last year.

£1182 came from entry fees, £325 was kindly donated by those that had won prize money and a further £500 was raised in an auction.

There was a lovely atmosphere at the event again and it was fabulous to be surrounded by such generous people, many of whom had travelled such a long way to be there from places such as Scotland, Essex and South Wales.

A massive thank you to Rens and Jenny Del Rosso for their kindness in putting on the event and thinking of school. Also a huge thank you to Carl and Linda for hosting the event. Thank you also to Lauren, Libby and Charlie Del Rosso for their welcome and kindness on the day. Finally, a huge thank you to all those who attended the shoot and gave so generously on the day. The money will be put to good use and a post will be put on the website once it has been spent.

Thank you!

A massive thank you on behalf of everyone at school to Mrs Shaw and Mrs Brady for their hard work over the last few days. They have given up their time to be away from their own families and have been brilliant with our children. The care, support and encouragement has been on display from the very first minute of the trip and our children couldn't have been in better hands.

Thank you!

Climbing and Abseiling

Both groups have had a lovely morning climbing and abseiling. The weather stayed dry for us and children worked hard to achieve their individual goals.

Day 3 at PGL

Morning all! It's day 3 here and all are refreshed after a brilliant nights sleep. The sun is out and we are looking forward to climbing and abseiling before lunch.

The pictures are of the group with their leader Emily who all the children love. They are doing their group chant and also playing games with her.

See you all shortly.

Class 4's trip to the park on Friday 23rd May

The weather forecast for tomorrow seems to suggest that we will have some showers in the morning. We hope we can still go to the park as planned but we would appreciate it if parents could send their children  with a waterproof coat  and extra pair of shoes (in a plastic bag) as it may well be muddy at the park.

The children may bring a (non-electronic) game into class tomorrow, just in case we have to stay indoors.

Thank you.

23rd May 2014 - Class 4 Half Term Creative Homework Task

To Produce a Fact File About Your African River

For this you need to collect as much information about your river as possible. Present the facts on an A4 sheet in a way that will be eaasy to read, interesting and colourful to look at. Remember this needs to be in school by Wed 4th June ready to be used Thursday in a class lesson. Have fun collecting and producing a lovely fact file. We look forward to seeing the results!

Day 2.
Team "Chickens not Hens" have successfully completed their challenge to build a den , protecting from potential "egg" plosions. Split into two groups, they scrambled for twigs and branches , to construct a secure "shell-ter" .
An egg-cellent team effort !: )
