Christmas Fayre

Thank you to all parents, grandparents and friends of the school for supporting our Christmas Fayre after school today. There was a lovely atmosphere in the hall and we were sold out before 4:00pm! A massive thank you to the PTFA for all their hard work organising the event and giving up their time to put it on. We are so lucky to have such an active PTFA and are very grateful for your support.
Mr Crawford will text parents with a final amount raised and post on the website.
Raffle prizes will be posted shortly too and are available to collect from the office.
Have a look at some of the pictures from our wonderful Fayre.

Keep up the great work!

Athletic Superstars!

I had the pleasure of watching ten talented children tonight at the Year 5&6 Athletics competition.

The children competed in a range of field events before a series of races at Heanor Leisure Centre. Our children were so fast and were in the top 3 of every race and we managed to win quite a few races as well. The highlight was winning a team race where every member of the team had to take part.

The competition was very close and there were only 30 points between 2nd and 3rd place. Congratulations to Coppice Primary and Loscoe Primary who are through to the finals.

Most of our team are in year 5 so they will look forward to next years competition I'm sure.

I was incredibly proud of the skill shown by our children and especially the team spirit and sporting attitude.

Many thanks to our parents who were by far the best supporters there, and the loudest!!

A big thank you of course to Mrs Shaw, Mrs Evans and Mrs Mason for giving up their own time after school to support the children.

This week the children covered their cakes with apricot glaze and marzipan.

Feel proud everyone- you demonstrated beautiful manners and patience in our after school club this evening.
