A BIG thankyou!

PGL - our journey is nearly at an end!

We are on the bus about to leave! A massive thank you to all the children who have been brilliant. Their behaviour has been superb, a real credit to Smalley and I am very proud of them all. The staff have all agreed this has been the best group we have ever brought to PGL.

I have enjoyed doing the activities with group 2 over the past few days and they have shown great skill, grit and determination.

Finally, a massive thank you to Mrs Shaw and Miss Smith for their excellent care and support for the children over the trip. They have given up time away from their families and I am very grateful as I'm sure you are too.

See you back at school very soon!

Everest , Kilimanjaro , Jacobs Ladder?

Team 1 tackled their final activity , Jacobs Ladder, with amazing enthusiasm. As their trip draws to an end and looking forward to their lunch, they were keen to race up to the top and get in the warm once more. Well done to all the children , you have all displayed wonderful behaviour, sportsmanship and enthusiasm throughout. A credit to Smalley School!

Team 1 vs the weather !

Despite the wet, freezing cold conditions, Team 1 spirits weren't dampened on the low ropes activity first thing on Day 3. Everyone showed excellent teamwork and supported each other, whilst still wearing lots of smiles. ( along with the many other layers of clothing). Go Team 1 !

Jacobs Ladder

Our children braved the elements and were fantastic on Jacobs ladder this morning.

The wind and rain added to the adventure and great skill and determination was shown by our children.

The second picture shows the children warm and happy after completing their challenge.

The children have all slept very well last night and love our 5 star accommodation in the log cabins.

We are all packed and rooms were left very tidy!

Everyone enjoyed breakfast and we are now all ready for Jacobs Ladder and Low Ropes in the wind and rain!!

How many layers?!

Quick weather update for everyone! We have had a count up of how many layers the three staff are wearing and it comes to a whopping 45!!

Thank goodness we came in May and not October!!

The weather has not stopped us though! We have had a fabulous time!

Day 2

Group 1 enjoyed an afternoon of Quad biking and faced some fears on the Abseiling tower. The instructors said that we were the best drivers they had seen for a while, so some careful young drivers for the future!
On the abseiling tower, they showed great determination and cheered each other on to complete the task. Despite the awful weather conditions , spirits were high and lots of smiley faces!
