Carol singing at Tesco!

We have had another fabulous day and it was a real privilege to go to Tesco Carol singing with performance club this afternoon.

They sang a range of carols for an hour and it sounded beautiful. We had so many lovely comments from shoppers and managed to raise £115.

Huge thanks to Mrs Mason and Mr Redgrave for playing the keyboard and leading the singing. Also, thank you to Mrs Hull for her support in organising the children and of course her singing!

Thank you to our PTFA, parents and grandparents for supporting this visit out of school.

It has certainly helped me get into the Christmas spirit children, thank you!

Film Night - October 2016!

The PTFA held their first film night of the academic year with the children watching the very apt 'Chicken Run' following our new arrivals!

The children had a fantastic time and the event raised almost £300!

A huge thank you to Mrs Ufton, Mrs Worth and all the staff who supported this event.

Lizzie in class 5 won the competition that evening to pick the next film!

We look forward to seeing you there.

Enjoy some pictures below!

I'll name that chicken in 1!

We have had a fabulous first week back at school and so have our new arrivals!

The children arrived back this week to the surprise of seeing that we are now the home to six new chickens.

They have settled very quickly and are already laying eggs.

It has been lovely to see children, staff, parents and grandparents go over to the chickens and meet them over the course of the week.

A huge thank you to the team that gave up their holidays to ensure the chickens have a fabulous new home.

Also, thank you to the PTFA for providing the funding for this.

They have been an instant hit!

The children were set a challenge by Miss Tulley today to name the chickens.

The names will be announced in due course alongside a picture so we can all call them by name!

What a brilliant start to the new year! Enjoy some pictures below!

Summer Fayre 2016

On behalf of everyone in the school community can I say a massive thank you to the PTFA who worked tirelessly to put on such a brilliant event. They did an amazing job and it managed to stay dry too!

Please see a message from them below:

Thank you all for supporting the Summer Fayre on Saturday. The rain just about stayed away!
Thank you to everyone who helped set up, ran a stall, donated prizes, baked cakes, bought raffle tickets, came and joined in, and supported the event in any other way.
There should be a list of raffle winners on the school website in the next few days. Any prizes not collected today can be collected from the school office this week.
We'll have a final total for you soon, but it looks like we've raised over £1000!
We are looking forward to contributing to improvements to the playground and the playtime experiences for all the children.

THANK YOU AND MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM THE PTFA

The Christmas Fayre, discos and raffles at the shows have raised just over £2000!

Thank you to everyone who has donated, baked cakes, helped with setting up and serving, attended the events, bought raffle tickets or supported us in any other way.

We recently contributed to the new look school hall, and in the near future are hoping to contribute to improving playtimes for the children.

The PTFA now has a Facebook page. If you use Facebook, please search for 'Richardson Endowed Primary School PTFA', 'Like' the page, and invite any school parents or staff on your friends lists to do the same.

Thank you to everyone for all of your support this term. We look forward to continuing to support the school in 2016. Our next meeting is on Tuesday 19th January (7.30pm, Rose & Crown) - all welcome.

"We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year"
