Welcome to Richardson Endowed Primary School

Cup debut!

Ladt night was s very special moment for our school as we played in the quarter final of the William Gregg VC cup at the Heanor Town ground, in front of a crowd of enthusiastic supporters.

The team consisted of  some of our Year 5/6 pupils, who played Langley Mill Junior School to fight for a place in the semi finals. The first half was end to end stuff until we conceded a goal,  after a period of sustained pressure.  However, despite being 1-0 down at half time, the children came out for the second half keen to level the score.

Despite putting Langley Mill under constant pressure throughout the second half, Smalley were unable to get one in the net and the final score remained 1-0.

I hope our children enjoyed the amazing opportunity to play under the floodlights on such a wonderful occasion, and are as proud of themselves, as Mrs Mason and myself are. We look forward to this being the first of many William Gregg Cup games in the future.  Well done to everyone!

What an amazing opportunity! Well done all!
